Choosing guide

Choosing walk & home packs

A few simple checks help you pick the right size and material. This is general product guidance for ordinary pet supplies — it is not training, veterinary or medical advice.

  1. Measure before you choose a walk pack

For harness packs, measure around the widest part of the chest and match it to the size ranges listed on each product. Leave room for two fingers under the webbing.

  2. Match home mats to the room

Measure the space for a floor or bed mat. A flat weave suits hallways and hard floors; a cushioned mat suits crates and quiet corners.

  3. Think about washing

Removable covers and microfibre towels are easiest to keep clean. Check the care note on each product for wash temperatures and drying.

  4. Keep it tidy with storage

Canvas bins and rope baskets hold leads, towels and toys near the door so walk kit stays in one place.

Quick material notes

What each fabric is good for, in plain terms.

W

Webbing

Recycled polyester webbing on walk packs is hard-wearing and quick to wipe down after coastal walks.

C

Cotton & rope

Braided cotton and rope give soft leads, tug toys and woven baskets a natural, low-key feel.

M

Microfibre

Microfibre towels and mitts absorb quickly and dry fast — handy for muddy paws after a walk.

V

Canvas

Structured canvas bins and crates hold their shape on the shelf and fold flat when not needed.
